BRAH. This hit the spot!
I got the chicken Katsu, tasted just like Loco Moco's Drive inn back home in Hawaii, which I love! The Mac salad was on point!
Boyfriend got the Loco Moco, he wanted over easy eggs but it came out more like over hard, but he said it was still good. And it comes with two patties, usually back home it's just a single big patty. So more food for him!
We got spam musubis, I just wish they used Saran Wrap to hold it together, it would be easier to eat. My musubi fell apart after two bites. But they make the spam slices thiccc and put a good amount of sauce. So it's mixed feelings.
I love that they have Hawaiian Sun.
The two employees were very nice, no complaints there.
I will definitely be coming back here. Really missing home! -

Came back today to see they have worked things out. Still a complete disappointment.
Again the ribs were over cooked. The sauce was very goopy and salty. The Macaroni Salad wasn't good as well. -

I am in anchorage on vacation from Seattle and someone recommended i try this place. I Asked for a cup for ice to put a can drink i purchased from them after spending $30 and cashier wouldn't give me one. Ridiculous!

Not coming here again. I had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to even show up to take my order. I ordered the chicken katsu plate since I had a craving for it.
This is probably the worst chicken katsu I've had in Anchorage. Poor quality chicken, small scoops of rice, and the macaroni salad was nothing special.
Also I had to ask for the katsu sauce. I got a small plastic cup they kept in the fridge. The sauce was watery and flavorless.
Skip this place. If you want to eat somewhere else in the 5th Ave mall food court, I recommend checking out Thai Garden or Souper Bowl. -

I was so disappointed with this place. All I want is some good Hawaiian food. You know when you go into a place expecting an authentic burger, and getting a double cheeseburger at McDonald's instead? That's how it feels.
A fast food version of Hawaiian food. The rice was hard and stale tasting. The musubi looked disgusting. The katsu slices were horrible portions of the meat, very chewy and fatty. The mac salad was tasteless. I know mac salad usually doesn't have much of a taste, but this completely lacked any flavor. If you asked me the difference between air and the taste of this mac salad, I wouldn't have been able to tell the two apart.
Long story short, a lot of people that have had a taste of good Hawaiian food really look forward to Hawaiian eateries.. if you're not going to at least try to put out good food, then maybe you shouldn't continue to run the place.
